Not that I remember.They look like slabs of cedar shoved into the ground.The stones around them are from the 1800's so I assume these are the same age.Cedar and Cypress really last forever it seems.

They wiggle like that because thats how they climb trees by getting their scutes (belley scales) caught in the bark and inching their way up.

Yes I had thought it might be a marker of sorts for someones personal history but would not have the slightest idea how to find out what the history is.If the plains were burnt to the ground it would be visible for quite a ways but the rocks do not appear to be cooked which would make them pink...
