Came down nice in Shamong and nice rainy day today. Never found rain so beautiful!

Went down the cape may on Sunday and was not nearly as dry as it is in core barrens. In fact the area I went to in cape may courthouse was more wet than this time last year. Was relieved to see it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting.

Wind shifted some, I can really see the source plume from my house. Assuming this is kettle as looking due west hits the spot. Looks closer though!

Why houses shouldnt be built in some areas.

Probably that dumb development they built along cooper road. It’s odd it doesn’t look like they have a fire break running along it. This one could get big based solely on the polygon of containment.

I explored around beaver dam lake last year. Nice area, felt mt miseryish as you got out towards arrowhead drive. Was looking at area for possible rare snake species, no luck though.

It rained at work in Marlton. It was an exceptionally pathetic rain but it was also incredible at same time. It’s been so long since it’s rained that when it does it’s gonna be special.

Haven’t been out to the July burn area in a month. Went out in late afternoon today. The guys were really out there fighting the fire still. Helicopter was very active dropping water and I saw several trucks and a plow by featherbed bridge. It’s the most dry I’ve ever seen, it’s disturbing...

Bob yesterday we could smell smoke on little mill by the Girl Scout camp. So near the power lines that lead into the sanctuary. It may have been from kings grant small fire or from Tamarac fire in Medford but seemed to maybe be something else. I don’t see any reports though. This am I saw a fire...

There was some sort of fire over by black run yesterday as I could smell at little mill. Also something going on by kettle run today it seemed.

Guy since the wetlands are so dried out is the fire burning into cedar and other formerly wet areas? Or is it just burning the new duff that fell since July?

Al, it’s sorta like a pine snake nest with less of a fan and smaller. The eggs look like smaller racer eggs without the sand paper look. They seem to be one of the first to hatch as well usually in late August or earlier.

Found 3 baby hognose snakes today all in different spots. Also saw 5-6 nests in different areas. It’s dry now but the spring rains gave time for lots of fowlers toads which led to maybe an increase of hogs.

This whole case is bizzare. Her last location was also the opposite side of Oswego lake of Allen road. At least that is what I read on Facebook. Perhaps she came down lost lane to sooy and then to lake Oswego. It was dark so maybe she hung to left instead of staying on lake Oswego. Wouldn’t take...
