That is Oyster Creek, I have done ok fishing in Wells Mill Park, hike around to the back side of the lake with knee boots or waders and you should get into some fish. "hidden" or hard to get to areas are some times the best spots to fish. Chris

I have noticed this also, The same trucks I used to see in the areas I hunt are no longer there. I think some of the hunters that traveled into the pines to hunt are now going to other areas with more deer, The harvest numbers have been real low the last few years in the pines. I love to sit in...

    Fishing today

Over the last couple years I have caught all of my biggest pickerel in the pines from mid December-early April. I have found the trick in the winter is to find wood structure, i.e. stumps, logs, old bridges around still water and fish real slow. I have the most luck with a Rapala j-7...

    NJ park ranger?

One of the Conservation officers that patrols the Greenwood section of the pines is a young lady. Heard she is a tough cookie too. She has been pleasant the few times she has checked my license and tags. Chris

A Busy Morning in the Pines

Nice shots guy. I watched Barrys youtube video the other day.(I think it was his. Did he also post a video of the hemlocks cut down at Pleasant mills church?). I didn't know there was any bald cypress in the pines, I thought it was a little to far north for them to survive. Global warming? Chris

I am a sucker for all the extra tags. I buy them all for zone 21, even for permit shotgun which is one day and most of the time I do not even see deer on that day. The state loves guys like me. As for the numbers you may be right with hunters not checking in deer. I also have a feeling it...

Not a big fan of the crossbow, a lot of states are making them legal during the archery season. Jersey did it I feel to produce more money on archery license sales, more of the gun only hunters will buy and use crossbows due to the ease of learning how to shoot them. I am looking forward to...

    Dead on Road Coyote

I heard my first coyote howl and yipping when I was about 7, I am now 36 and to this day it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear it when I am out in the woods.
