    Goofing with a GoPro

I've always thought of downsizing to a Subaru. Glad to see it handles the roads well.

    Constable Bridge

The water level dropped quickly. Even the bed of the river must have sucked it up. Mullica River near Batsto NJ

DEP determined to resolve pinelands access disputes

Go 'to' there, yes, and have a walk about. But I think the roads made there by FFS were a big mistake and should not have vehicles on them.

DEP determined to resolve pinelands access disputes

Quite a rant. He had to be apoplectic when he wrote that; it's replete with grammar and spelling issues. He blows things way out of proportion and makes things worse.

    Obituary

Rest in peace Phillip. Some of your posts were priceless, like this one you made about Horner: "Oh for the love of God someone tell him to take a LONG walk off a short pier with several bricks tied to his damn feet! Or someone sew his damn mouth shut."

Police investigating fatal crash in Burlington County (On 532 Near Apple Pie Hill)

I went to my daughters in Marlton last night, and saw two huge memorials on 532 NE of Chatsworth. I did not have time to stop, but they are very large and impressive. One on each side of the street. And it was well NE of Chatsworth.

How New Jersey Plans to Relocate Flooded ‘Ghost Forests’ Inland

Yes, I found one fawn in the middle of a dried up creek 2 weeks ago. Just lying on sedges as if it was asleep. They call it sacred river by the Tulpehocken. I was shocked, because it was barely stiff and had no marks on it.

How New Jersey Plans to Relocate Flooded ‘Ghost Forests’ Inland

Yes, Hemorrhagic Disease will do that. We saw quite a few dead in the water at Lakehurst. It's the fever they get from the disease.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

I agree Jeff. Having some skepticisim with a request for facts is far superior to the statement that "there are hundreds and hundreds of areas this bad"

    Elevation Readings

Thank you for the information. Since the GPS is only accurate to about 3-5 meters, me trying to better what I have now to a finite degree by tweaking its location is non-productive, especially when you consider that the entire 7400 acres only has an elevation total range of about 80 feet....so...

    Elevation Readings

Boyd, I uploaded waypoints so I can use your elevation feature and capture the elevation of each. Using my GPS is not acceptable, as I can tell some of the numbers are way off. I plan to just center the crosshairs on each waypoint and then type it into an excel file I'll have open. Is the base...

    Years Ago Today

That year (or was it 2012?), I asked if anyone would like to walk down the middle of the Oswego for a mile or so. So yeah, it's been dry before. But not today here in Barnegat. Edit: it was 2005. https://forums.njpinebarrens.com/threads/hawkin-bridge-to-evans-bridge.1802/#post-15552

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

If almost 1 million people visit Wharton in a year, and maybe one hundred thousand drive the roads, do you think the state is going to be able to handle that many permits? Yes, they issue millions of car registrations a year. They can do it. Is someone who comes to the Batsto County Living...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

I'm just thinking out loud; but if a permit were only given to people who present the road legal vehicles they will drive under the permit, won't that be an easy way to kick out people who don't have one, and could not obtain it for their ORV? Maybe they are betting on the psychology aspect too...
