    Any Photobucket users?

I get why they're doing it. It's expensive to be a major image host and not even have a chance to make money or sell ads on any of that traffic. A better way would have been to disable hot linking for all new photos going forward, although I don't know how feasible that is.

Perfect, thanks! If you have a website with your work I can link to that as well if you'd like.

Possible Government Shut-down may affect your weekend..

Hrm, I just priced it out at Staples.com. A "standard heavyweight 12x18" cardstock poster is $9.99/ea. That times 500 is $4995. Add whatever croney tax you think Trenton pays to their own printer of choice on top of that. But even if it was only $160, the idea of a politician (of any...

Actually would you mind if I used that for the cover photo for the NJPineBarrens.com Facebook page, too?

Printing color posters on card stock is not cheap. The state is nearly broke and he's spending taxpayer money to attack someone politically at a time when he can't even run. "I think my poll numbers show I don’t care about political optics." -- Chris Christie. Yup, they show that you don't care...

Possible Government Shut-down may affect your weekend..

He said he would sign a budget that was put in front of him, but that he'd line item veto a bunch of other stuff. But that other stuff would stay if the BCBS authorization was in the budget. So it's not like he felt those things really ought to not be in there, he's just using that as a stick to...

Possible Government Shut-down may affect your weekend..

When your approval level is already so low and you can't run again things like this just don't matter anymore.

Ugh. They could have easily passed a bill to temporarily fund the government while negotiations continue. This was just so that people would look bad in the eyes of the voters. Apparently it has to do with funding addiction treatment by raiding the reserves of Horizon BCBS. I'm all for publicly...

Verizon closing down its e-mail service

I switched to gmail about 10 years ago solely to have a provider-agnostic place for my email. Somewhere out there I bet the data on my old ben.ruset@verizon.net email account is out there. It'd be a pretty interesting look back at my early 20s and the beginnings of this site.

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

The maps are loading for me - maybe a bit slow, too. If you're trying to load the 1930/95/2002/historic topo/etc. they all come from the NJ Office of GIS server which has been known to slow down every now and then. Do the topo, satellite, and Boyd's LIDAR load fast?

How do we stop the damage?

The problem is that the leaders of some of the major environmental groups are militantly anti-ORV, to the point that they don't see that not opposing the creation of a few well thought out parks would go a long way towards solving the problem. So instead of being pragmatic and actually doing...

    Beer (again)

I think maybe my pallet isn't so developed as to be able to tell why they suck. Its not overpoweringly hoppy and tastes good. That's kind of all I care about.

    Beer (again)

I just cracked open my first ever Dennis Creek Pale Ale from Tuckahoe Brewing. This is pretty damn tasty. This is the first time I've seen their beer up by me.
