    An Ode to Odes

I once exited a cedar swamp in bamber onto Dover Road, and I heard the slap-slap-slap of a guy running full out, in sneakers. He had that net high, his chest out, and eyes wide, trying to pull one in; he seemed about 19 years old. A knot of older gents were in the background. They were out for...

    Midway Atoll

Interesting. If you use Google Maps to go to Midway Atoll (Sand Island) and do a street view, you can go almost anywhere on the Island. It's like they gave the Google camera person the freedom to walk around wherever your curiosity takes you...

    Some holiday fun in 3d

It was not fast, but not so slow that I was annoyed. Sometimes it would take some time for the landscape to turn green, but not a big deal.

    Some holiday fun in 3d

Yeah, that's really cool. I cruised up by the Delaware Water Gap, and then went all the way up the Hudson to Albany.

Two Firms Eyeing Sites In Shamong For Cannabis Operations

I didn't know it was for growth and manufacture, I thought it would simply be a retail outlet. I'm against actual farms, because it changes the character of the area and they'll suck down the water supply. And they wan't be fields of green either, the'y'll be hot houses...unsightly hot houses...

    Then & Now Photos

I mostly use the arrow on the built in compass. But, there is an arrow of sorts on the map; the big triangle position icon....and I do use that a lot.

If I'm tracking, I don't pay attention to north, I pay attention to the waypoint arrow, and rotate accordingly. I can't see anyone using it any other way.

    Then & Now Photos

I did 3 or 4 days a week this summer doing the Navy Base Plant survey. My perception of where everything is was greatly enhanced by looking at the same screen orientation of where all the roads and buildings were. And, because I always knew about where I was at the moment it immediately oriented...

Me and Al, that's who. :D Those of us who are used to it have great expectations that when we turn the darn thing on, the top of the screen means North.

    Barry Zeldin Podcast

If I had coordinates, I'd of been there within days, if for no other reason than to prove that psychics are people that throw out guesses based upon their senses.

    Signs On Route 70

Oh yes, I thought you were still looking in aerial view. I do street view a lot and drive on the street to look around. This morning I was driving on the main road in Greenwich NJ. Very historic town. A little while ago I was driving along streets in Yellowknife, NW territories.

    Signs On Route 70

Google car? There is a tile tile here to change the plane, and when it does the cars are different, so the time period is different, especially when it's noted the bushes have suddenly got leaves.
