That was the same tornado I spoke of above. It had lifted up off the ground and skimmed over all that housing congestion by route 9, and then touched down again on the water. At least that's what some officials said at the time.
I looked these up to see what options people in the Midwest have if they don't dig into the ground. I wouldn't trust this. Would you? I mean, I guess they are better than nothing, but I wonder if they get staked to the ground...
Today, for the third time this week, I saw hunters staked out along 539 waiting for the drivers to drive deer towards them, or towards an auto going 60 miles per hour. This is just foolish and it should be outlawed. They should always drive away from a hard road.
More to this story for sure. How asinine it would be for a woman who lives in Medford, to tell a guy to drive all the way to Pemberton to a specific spot, when he passes untold thousands of acres of woods along the way.
By the way, using your measuring tool, I found the longest straight line you can walk in the pines without hitting a hard-surface road is about 15.3 miles.
Boyd, when I use the measuring tool, and then when finished with it by clicking the 'X' on the screen, it does not fully turn off unless you hit activation button again (like a toggle switch). Not sure if you knew that.
Found a deer killed about a week ago on 72. He's only dragged onto the shoulder. A 4 or 6 pointer with antlers still on. Great spot for a game camera cause coyote appears to be gnawing on his leg.
I finally got to the area where the tornado touched down by route 72 just west of route Warren Grove Road (532). There is a dim road that is drivable by any truck as shown.
I had a hunch I'd intercept the path of the tornado on this road, and it didn't disappoint. As I walked in about 200...
Boyd, I set up some new favorites (a work in progress) and when I did, I note that when I click on the HEART symbol, the list comes up on the other side of the screen. Before you updated, my favorites came right up next to the heart. Can that function be restored?
Thanks for that Mike. The way I read it, at this point in time, it is approving a study to determine if redevelopment is needed. But I do see the concerns about Tackle Direct influencing all this, and this should be fought vigorously. It will degrade the area for sure.
I wonder if the upcoming...
In Basecamp I can click on the screen and it tells me, like this image outlined in blue. But, it's been a long time and I'm not sure I assigned it that number or Birdseye does.
