Pinelands Commission to Consider Wharton MAP

I worked for the same Guy maybe 14 years ago I updated the Dividing Creek Quad for them.I got a badge but no hat:-(.They had me X out old roads that weren't being used anymore and add new ones.Must have changed their data or perhaps because it was a different area? I did weeks of work crossing...

    Salem County Stones

Headed back out to salem County to do more stone hunting today but on the way stopped by a piece of land I noticed the state had just bought as i ride by it on the way to work every day. They had been trying to sell the lots to build on for several years but the state has it now.I immediately...

    Deep Run

My Moms family is from southern Appalachia.I think I know them better then you do.Then of course after seeing your attitude they probably would not treat you as well as they do me. You've made more enemies here in a year then I have in 15.

Unusual Memorial to a Young Man in the Pines

To me it looks as if the snake is against his body and within striking distance but if he is holding it on a hook and it's out in front of him then he is probably safe and this would almost confirm that it is a rattler.has the right pattern and a triangular shaped head like a pit viper would.

Unusual Memorial to a Young Man in the Pines

It's a mighty fuzzy pic but that looks like one Big Timber rattler or maybe Canebrake rattler to me.Holding it in that fashion I"d say the snake was dead or the boy was a real dare devil.

    Salem County Stones

They've been planting concrete monuments for about a hundred years now so most stones would have been planted over 100 years ago.We have found many stones with dates of the 17 and 1800's inscribed in them and I know of at least one stone that historical evidence shows to have been planted in...

    Robot on a PBX

I really like the way the robot recovers his balance the way he does.Must have a system of levels in him.Once off balance I probably would have fell but I don't get off balance near as much as the robot does.No I don't think he's quite ready for a PBX hike yet but a little more work and I think...

    Fish Factory

The island is heavily posted and quite visible from the Coast guard station,it's also covered with Poison Ivy,other then these draw backs it would be an excellent explore.

PBX guys, I need a way into the bog

Gloves are a good bet but make it hard working the GPS so i usually don't wear them unless it's in the 20's or lower. Also Coyotes come in many different colors,I have seen them grey, brown and almost white.Never seen a black one but hear they come in black as well, some even look like a really...

PBX guys, I need a way into the bog

Some would suggest a machete but I find that more often then not you hurt yourself by pulling back to swing you will often yank more briars down on your head.A pair of pocket size hedge trimmers will often get you out of a jam.A bit slower then a machete but safer in thick brush. If you fall not...

PBX guys, I need a way into the bog

The secret to swampin is to take your time and always have a back up plan if you go down. The worst injury I"ve had so far swampin is a couple real nasty eye jabs.Might want to wear a pair of safety glasses if you plan on traveling through thick brush..Many folks use trekking poles/walking sticks...
