    Let's Talk about the PPA

South zone waterfowl reopened yesterday. If you were near water they were probably duck hunters. Other than, that bow is open statewide and has been for awhile.

    Music for the day

Jesus, this is turning into a real sausage party. It IS, however, very heart warming to see that 46'er and Bob share a common interest in music.

The Woods of Minespung .... A PBX Hike

Guy, There are more than a few Manassas Delletts. I believe the oldest one is the one that is buried behind the Church on QB Road has a headstone there that is very old. He was born in 1811 and died in 1893. You can see his tombstone there but Ancestry .com limits how much you can gather for...

    Man drowns in Mullica River

Although he still drowned, it sounds like he drowned in the Bass River since Viking is on the Bass.

The Woods of Minespung .... A PBX Hike

The day started and ended cloudy with just enough rain to make one a little damp but not uncomfortable. We had a group of ten out for this one and it was our first hike since June. My wife and Springer, Murphy were part of the crew too. Steve, a long time PBX'er, made his first hike in many...

The Woods of Minespung .... A PBX Hike

Although she will probably pay for this on a later hike with blood, Dottie said the hike was almost too easy. It was a great crew today and we saw the return of a legendary PBX member and I sure hope to see more of him in the future. I will put my photos together tomorrow.

    AC Press Wharton Article

Pretty good ink. It sounds like the reporter was actually there. A little heavy on the off-road side, making it sound as if the only anti-mappers are off roaders. Unfortunately, that is the way the chips seem to be falling. Either you're a mudder or a tree hugger from the outsider's view...

    Penbryn Lake

It's a groundwater pond created by many years of draglining and dredging sand. The Pettinos company had their own RR siding there if I am not mistaken. The water has no circulation from the influence of streams and may harbor a few unique algae species because of that. Not aware of any pollution...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Not for a second John. And let's all remember that the ideas for drafting municipal resolutions opposing the MAP originated with a member of this special interest group.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

I love you Boyd but I have to disagree with you on this one point. Just about everyone who enjoys the pines can be categorized as belonging to one special interest group or sometimes multiple special interest groups, as is the case with me. I was one of the people who sounded the early alarms...

Here are the Smilin' Millers from my neck of the woods ! I think one John Jenry Miller may be cracking a little smile. :) George Miller is in the photo but he may be a younger version than who was discussed in the thread above ?
