I hear coyote all the time from my backyard. If this was a coyote it would have been alone when I heard it. It was definitely not a pack. But I certainly wouldn't rule out a coyote. Jeff

I never heard nor saw any. However my neighbor saw a black bear cross 70 near my old house and he is a reliable witness. Coyote, piebald deer, lots of turkeys all over. A friend who grew up in Pemberton claims that a large bobcat killed two of his goats. Jeff

I did. This bird feeder gets a much larger variety of birds. Maybe because the woods on my property is oak-pine instead of pine-oak as it was at my old house.

Thanks for the sound link. Listening to it, I would say it is highly likely it was a territorial growl from a fox that I heard. If you listen to that sound bite, you can hear how human it is. Also, there is a sound bite of two foxes fighting... I am now thinking that a cat was not involved in...

That is interesting. It brings to mind that old shack that is down that road on the mullica, just by where you get on/off the parkway at exit50 from route 9 (the route 9/parkway extension). I've been down that road to the rustic old shack and garage back there. I guess it is privately owned...

Yeah, it looks that way to me also, but because they are doing it on enduro bikes I guess you could call it cross trainning. I suspect these are enduro guys who get into shape by practicing trials techniques. Makes sense. Jeff
