A nice fall day. Crossing a wildfire area in the same year that it happened--how could we not do this? We probably did about the same miles as we did at the 2007 fire explore. The consensus was about 9 for the day.

I use the intersection of Savoy and 72 a couple times a week. If the state owns the land around there (I'm lazy did not look), they should move the road away from the hill and RR bridge. Maybe like this.

I don't see the harm in taking off the word 'gunning'. Maybe they were attracting a crowd that wants guns for a purpose other than hunting. And, I've never heard someone say they are "going gunning" when they are "going hunting".

That gate, which is mostly associated with the way in to the mountain, in the 37 years I have live in Bamber, has been closed 80 to 90% of the time. Only this past year and a half has it been open for awhile. Many a time I've had to open it and close it for FRMC cleanups.
