132-year-old Winchester rifle found propped against desert tree in Nevada

If that was the Barrens the wood would be rotted or burnt away but Nevada? It's possible it could have laid there for near that long.

    Cumberland County Stones

Actually looking at them most of these photos were not tampered with.It was quite dreary out both days.Well it does not look like pincushion moss at all.looks sorta like sphagnum but much to dry a habitat for that.Almost looks like a miniature fern.I"ll have to let Oji or another forum botanist...

The camera is a Canon Powershot SX130 and I must confess some of the pics I doctored a little.Basically all i do is sometimes decrease brightness if their washed out, then increase contrast and sometimes I may just touch the color saturation but some of the pics I left alone because they looked...

    LIDAR enhanced aerial views

Okay after more internet bufoonery I"ve come to the conclusion after converting the KMZ into a KML in GE which will give me 25 little jpegs per quad I can then hand align them in Gimp and save as a jpeg or tiff and then calibrate in Triton rmp. From start to finish once I get fast i can probably...

    LIDAR enhanced aerial views

The TIFF works in Triton RMP! I"ll keep working on a way to stitch your KMZ tiles back together either as jpegs or TIFF's.The Geoviewer should do this but it's not.I"ll have to calibrate this tiff and put it in the triton and see how it looks.I remember downloading OZI Explorer once and having...

    LIDAR enhanced aerial views

I have tried to convert the KMZ to RMP and every where I go they state this cannot be done.So next I converted the KMZ file into KML using Google Earth and this gave me 25 tiles that start with kml then have a number and end up with jpg. so I have 25 little jpegs to make up[ the Atsion triangle...

I have always wondered what WO stands for myself.I see it all over on survey maps.It is marked on one stone along the Muskee and when i found the stone it appears to have a faint WO inscribed on it.Couldn't be certain but it looked like it.

    LIDAR enhanced aerial views

I"ll definitely try them on the Triton.I have plenty of patience so time is no object.Getting ready to buy a new mean machine with more RAM and upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit so hopefully this will allow me to work with much bigger images and faster as well. These maps you've made really show the...
