Boas climb as well Mark but the larger they get the more terrestrial they become.I have never know of Anacondas to climb,they very seldom leave the water.
Had a gull die in my hands once.It had a broken wing,I picked it up and was petting it wondering how I could help it when my brother said "Whats wrong with it" I looked down and it was plainly dead.I"ve been told I look mean but that was ridiculous.
Boas do take to water though not to the extant an Anaconda does.To see one swimming would not be odd at all.All snakes can swim.The pic is of a Boa Constrictor though I understand that is not Hoppy.
