    I have found many box turtles dead after a fire but never lizards or snakes.I believe the snakes at least can always manage to get underground fast.they know every hole nearby and can fit in any of them.A turtle doesn't have time to dig in e3specially if away from mud.

    I"ve canoed it maybe twenty years ago. It's tight and twisty but not a swift current like Mount Misery Brook.It's fairly shallow and has shores densley packed with over hanging brush.Good trip to pick up a crew of river spiders. Goshen pond is quite beautiful and the river really opens up here...

    Kings are almost always found in swamps.Hognose love sandy areas and stick their noses into the sand and flip out buried toads which are their main diet.

    That area already had a lot of downed trees from the derecho a couple years back.They had to clear that road extensively after that storm and the woods were littered with big blowdowns.

    I work with a guy who no longer hunts out of trees because he got drunk while in a stand and fell asleep subsequently falling fifteen feet to the ground.Didn't really hurt him much on a permanent level but he has quit hunting from trees because of it.He now is a ground hunter.I think my solution...
