    mt .misery rd

i was always freaked out about mt. misery road after driving down it one day last summer. i noticed a house out of nowhere that had such creepy attributes... a camera was mounted on a tree and aimed at the front door. all of the shades were down on the windows and it was afternoon. after...

Scary Abandoned House between Tuckerton and New Gretna

Luckilly nobody gave the exact location of the Hattie Chew house and if you know where Bulltown Road is, chances are good you have nothing to do with "Weird NJ". I too fear that every place I visit will next be published in that magazine. I love vistiting places like this but I never cause...

    McKee City

if you are ever in mckee city, there are some interesting places to see: there is a church next to my development which was once a synagogue, it was built in the 1800s and was one of the few synangogues in the area. almost across the street you can find chicken coups which seem out of place...

    KKK in the pines?

it is a well known fact that chucks's hideaway (formerly brownie's) in egg harbor twp (steelmanville/bargaintown) was once a meeting place of the local kkk. not that this proves anything but there is an old barn right behind the restaurant.

    A Most Important Topic

Hello all, I feel very strongly about this topic and unfortunately, my feelings are split... First of all, every time I visit any place of historical interest, I cannot help but notice things like beer cans, spary paint, and destruction... This hurts me to see this happen. I could not...

    Harris Station

Bodine Field is indeed a campsite behind the Harrisville ruins. I camped here over the summer. It is right on the river and overall, a great place to camp. Also, Mr. Delamo, whom wrote the book entitled Harrisville, is still alive and was my 5th grade math teacher. He used to run a group...

    pasadena/weird nj

Just a heads-up to anyone that is fond of the Brooksbrae Brick Company... The newest edition (#21) of Weird Nj magazine will feature an article about Pasadena. This is very unfortunate, as I was very fond of the brick company site and after this issue comes out, it will surely be destroyed in...
