I'm not sure if Harley Davidson is still making the 883 Sportster. But for exploring, try an old WWII Harley or something old like that, (Flat Heads, Knuckle Heads and Pan Heads) they were very durable and would go anywhere.

As a former fireman, I don't think the police will burn it to the ground. More likey the local fire department will have a drill, which gives them experiance in putting fires out. If the house is almost falling down, it's all the more reason to stay out of it. No need to get trapped and...

I think the ones near Hampton Furnace show the wood grain. The ones at Washington were smoother though.
