    Sassafras ?

To all, I am trying to locate an area, place or town called Sassafras. I read in the Martha diary excerpts in the Iron in the Pines book about the men from Martha Furnace hauling logs to Sassafras and bulding a cabin there. The men also went there by boat and hauled ore from Sassafras. I...

    Leek-McKeen Cemetery

I was in the area of the Leekstown cemetery yesterday and I noticed there is another cemetery down the road farther closer to Rt. 9 on the same side of the road. If I am not mistaken it is near a junkyard. It looked pretty old but I did not stop and check it out. Any clue ?

Behr and I took a ride up to Boot's Tavern near Buck Run. There was some good possiblities of house locations, no cellar holes though. Parkdale

Barry, The entrance Behr and I take is north of Chew rd. and before you get the little dinner on Rt. 206 (is it called the Wagon Wheel ?). There is a road on your left before the guardrail and cedar swamp. The road across from the dinner is NOT the road. Does this make sense ?

    lost on apple pie hill

Besides, how big could the payrole be in the 1700's ? How much did the average British soldier make and how many British soldiers were in the area ? I'll bet the British stole it and blamed it on the revolutionaries. Maybe Joe Mulliner found it.
