Yep. One of the exceptions, not the norm.
Looking out the window now, I'm thinking I have 4-6 out there right now. Port Republic being reported as the winner, so far, at 12.5 inches, but there's still a few more hours to go.
Back in the day, I only remember the shore getting a much less amount than what we'd get along the I95 corridor. It's probably just me, as I recall much larger storms as a whole back then.
As always, the final track means all the difference. This one, however, seems to be a few inches vs. many many inches, depending on a several mile change in track.
This sounds like a great thing for the youth of our area. No matter how safe, heightened awareness should be practiced. That, I believe, was the point of the original post.
