The bucket hole was deeper then the hole in the center. Both were filled with decomposing leaves and very soft to walk on. It’s in a very accessible location. It’s less then 100 yards from the paved road and the woods there is open with little underbrush.

I’m sure it is possible. Would you be going in the woods on a dry day with 60+ mph winds? There was aerial footage I was amazed how fast it was going. You could see it moving even in a few second clip

The area you outlined matches up perfectly to the area that has been control burned over the past several decades. I know it well. Just for perspective of the size of this fire. I think that area highlighted is around 200 acres.
