    Wireless router.....

Changing the internal IP of the subnet won't have any affect on wireless connectivity. Some things that do: signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio. If you have anything else on the 2.4ghz band (or 5.8ghz depending on your router model) then it can cause these issues. Examples can be cordless...

    Body found in Chatsworth

Setting the fire in the woods was a _really_ dumb way to go about it. They probably went to a bar afterwards, got drunk and bragged about it.

    Computer

Windows 7 now has system imaging built in and it works like a champ. I used it recently to move from a 74gb raptor to a new 500gb caviar black. Simply imaged the raptor, installed the new drive, booted off of a recovery dvd, restored the image to the new drive, then used diskpart to expand the...

    Oh Black Water

Took a run around the Wharton with a few guys today. Whereas the story three weeks ago was snow, snow, snow, the story today was water, water, water. We drove from Atsion out QB road and then on down Washington Rd, Penn Swamp Rd, Washington-Batsto Rd., Bulltown-Hawkin Rd., East Sandy Ridge...

    Snow ??

I'm actually joking about the plow guy. I know both the guys who do this street. Take them coffee every now and then. He was just making a quick first pass to get the roads open. He'll come back later and plow in the nice opening I made.

    Snow ??

Well how would you feel if it was 422 feet after the plow guy came through, eh? I guess I have to buy a real snowblower. My little Honda unit just sort of wheezes and dies when I push it into anything deeper than about 6-8 inches.

    Snow ??

You had to post that, didn't you? I just finished shoveling feet of the stuff off my drive and walks, and the first thing I see on the forum is a report of another big storm. Well it's not happening, and that's all there is to it. The whole winter wonderland thing has run its course (well, it...

    Snow ??

Just snowing lightly here now and the wind has died. I have 3+ foot drifts across my back, blocking the rear door, and about 2+ feet on the driveway.

    Snow ??

We're getting hammered up here. Drifts over two feet in places now and its coming down gangbusters. Blowing a stink too. I'd guess 30-35 knot gusts. I don't like the look of Boyd's map at all. I'm in the pink part. I only hope that it stays below freezing long enough for me to get it off the...

    Snow ??

We lived in Auburn, on Owasco lake, I guess for about five years. Before that Michigan, and after that Indiana :).

    Snow ??

I grew up in the Finger Lakes region upstate myself, and remember it the same way. Huge amounts of snow, and the massive equipment to handle it all. Here they cancel school before the snow falls.

    Snow ??

AccuWeather is calling this one a "Hurricane blizzard" and says that winds on higher elevations in new england may top 70 mph. Looks like it will run more north and west, though.

    Schatzie's deli closed

You got that right! A couple of years ago my daughter wanted to go to Olive Garden for her birthday, and I was incredulous. "You live in a state where you can hardly throw a rock without hitting a great little italian restaurant, and you want to go to Olive Garden?" Nod. It was her birthday, so...

    Google Street View Incident

Haha, that's hilarious. Street view is cool... and disturbing. The new Bing maps beta with smooth zoom from orbit integrates it all pretty well too. I still get frustrated trying to narrow down exactly what I want to see, though. Google Earth and Bing Maps have different strengths, but neither...
