    While pheasant hunting in Colliers Mills I've come across one or two but it's not a bird I would shoot as I do not eat them. They are around.

    Actually the Florida panther is different. The problem is that the state isn't sure if there are actually anymore 100% pure panthers left because they introduced some cougars into the wild to try to keep the panther population in existance.

    Hopefully you put them back in the same area they were found in. Exposing them to the cold elements can be very bad.

    It's hard to say without a closer look but that snake may be a hypomelanistic snake. It's definately unusual.

    I've had no problems with taking herp tools on planes. I usually use a ski bag to transport between a combination of five hooks and tongs.

    Northern population are actually doing very well. But as I said the reason for them being non-existant may be for the reasons I've listed. Plus, many people consider certain snakes as uncommon, but in my experience the same ones are actually very, very common.
