    Snake ID

If you saw 2 guys in a blue canoe, constantly belittling and insulting each other, that was me and my brother.

Aren't all snakes best left alone? Not that I was scared or anything like that :)

    Snake ID

I was at Batsto today and this snake swam by the canoe. Can anyone help with the ID? Thanks, Greg

Kayaking the Upper Great Egg Harbor River

I've hiked along the section from New Brooklyn lake to Winslow Road (bush wacked) and that seemed like it would be a brutal canoe trip. Some friends and I, with our son's, did the section from Winslow Road to Piney Hollow road a few years ago. We had a chain saw, and needed it, but it is really...

Out and about in Cape May County

Hawkin, A question on a related note, this past Monday my wife and I saw a Kestrel at Forsythe (Brigantine). It's the first one I've seen in a while, and I was wondering if they on a decline? It seems like I used to see them more often, or maybe it's just me. We also got a great view of a...

    Tick today

I had Lymes in 1990, it was just about the sickest I've ever felt. I never heard the immune idea, but hopefully since I had it I'm immune. It hasn't kept me out of the woods, though. I'm just more careful now. No ticks this year yet.

    Gun clubs? or shooting ranges?

My firearms ID is from 1981, so I guess it's still good. I've used it to by BB's. As far as buying shooting equipment in NJ, when he was young I tried to buy my son a wrist rocket sling shot from Cabella's so we could shoot together (I still have mine from when I was a kid) and they would not...

    Kayak - More enjoyable

OK, go ahead and make fun, so what that I'm not allowed to buy a new boat unless the old one sinks! :) I just don't want to actually be in the boat when it does sink. There are some deep spots in Batsto, maybe we could "hide" it. Guy, thanks for the info. I'm thinking some time in April or May...

    Kayak - More enjoyable

Guy, I have a 15' canoe. Is it passable going upstream with a canoe, or do you need a kayak. I've never did that trip and would like to try it. Thanks, Greg

    Kayak - More enjoyable

If I only have 3 or 4 hours I usually go to Harrisville, just because I can't get my canoe as far upstream as at Batsto. I save Batsto for days when I have more time. Both are beautiful lakes, though. They are also both good for fishing. Greg

    Sunday Hunting Bill Voting 3-16-09

I comment on this as a bow hunter (zone 65 in Winslow). I never had a problem with not hunting on Sunday. I had plenty of chances evenings and Saturday's during fall, permit and winter bow seasons to bungle shots. Sunday's gave me a chance to hike, walk the dog or trail run without wrecking...

No doubt for me, I'd turn her in. Sooner or later her actions will hurt someone.

West Plains Oswego, A PBX Hike

Scott, I'm not sure where Atco road is, but I don't live far from Atco. If you could get me close direction wise, I'd like to check them out. I have Lacrosse steel tipped work boots and they are the most comfortable ones I've ever worn. Thanks, Greg

    Brick ID

Hey Tom, are you working this Friday? I'm off, I can take a picture for you then. It's the down load part I need to figure out. I tried a few weeks ago to download some pictures I took at the old campsite, and it didn't work. I missed a step somewhere. Maybe we can figure it out. Greg
