Saw a great show last night Bob. Joe Eli, Ryan Bingham, and Terry Allen. All Texas singer-song writers. Bingham stole the show. Going back to the city tomorrow for this guy... Hayes Carll. Love the Texas music scene.

46er is on the money.. its all in the parenting. Some parents feel its easier to buy a new video game rather than go for a walk in the woods, on a fishing trip, camping etc. Bogles my mind.

Anyone ever listen to Chris Knight from Kentucky? Since we have the cleanup Sunday Ill post this.. the opening lines always remind me of Forked River Mt. The videos dark but its the best sounding one I could find. Another if you like him.

Not sure you read my whole post Al. Its the nephew of Ernest Tubb and his name is Lucky Tubb. He does sound a lot like Hank III and in fact they toured a little bit together and played together as well. I like both of them, but Lucky is not quite as rowdy as Hank III can be.

I agree 100%. Theres still a lot of new talent in country out there but Nashville and big radio wont touch them. Ive seen Asleep at the Wheel a few times live.. very good. If you like Texas swing then Im sure you know Wayne the Train. and my fav from Wayne:

There were two out by us on Lacey Rd. Apparently, the propeller of one fell off and dropped some odd hundred feet. Sounds like an installment error. The township no longer allows the two different locations to operate them. Wonder how much energy those families were saving before this happened.

I fish the Beaverkill pretty often but on the NY side. The VT side always seemed to have less fish. I never got the chance to fish the wild trout streams in VT because the ones in the Dacks kept me busy. Always wanted to though. Sounds pretty much the same with the beaver ponds and...
