    We put on tyvek suits and wore those aircraft crash/rescue fire helmets and took the ceilling out. It was disgusting. The whole tower was covered in squirrel sh#t!

    I had a nest in the the fire tower I used to work in, they drove me nuts! At first I thought they were bats. I drilled a hole in the wooden ceiling and put a light up there, but it didn't work. I put up with it for months until one hot summer day after being up there for weeks without a day...

    I used to work in the tower. The tower is the most vandalized fire tower in the state. Vandals have cut the steps off and we have to use plexiglass on the windows because people shoot the tower constantly. There is still buckshot in the plotting map.
