Old Church located behind the Harding Lakes area of Mays Landing, NJ

I believe these ruins are a WWII-era munitions plant. (I think I read that somewhere on these forums.) It does look similar to Belco in Estell Manor Park. I live nearby and I’ve been meaning to go back there.

Ruins at Lake Lenape West, Mays Landing, NJ

I've walked by this foundation many times, and I always thought it was the ruins of an old bath house or something from the park. However, this area was someone's property in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. You can see the house in this panorama from 1910...

Crews Battling Wildfire Along Mullica River in South Jersey’s Wharton State Forest

Does anyone know if there’s a map of the Wharton fire anywhere?

4 new trails in wharton - one is an old stage road, titled the "1808 trail"

I went on part of the 1808 trail today. It's really, really cool. I accessed it via the Batona. It doesn't seem to be fully blazed yet, but those post things are in the ground along the trail.

    Walkers Forge Mansion

I believe I've found the actual location of the Walker's Mansion. Based on this map (attached) from the HABS documents, I'm almost positive the location is here: https://boydsmaps.com/#18.20/39.438867/-74.754008/mbx3dspectrum/0.00/0.00 on the south side of the river. You'll see a fairly large...

Steelman's Tavern (located on other side of "Grigsby's" on the Mays Landing-Summerspoint Road in Mays Landing

Whoops, sorry about the image hotlink! If you go on Google Street View you can see the sign in the 2008 and 2009 views. https://goo.gl/maps/NrCDyEcBgsZyQHpBA It looks to be right around where gipsie's coordinates placed it, so I would assume it is on that piece of private property. Those...

Steelman's Tavern (located on other side of "Grigsby's" on the Mays Landing-Summerspoint Road in Mays Landing

I've also been meaning to go over there, I drive by almost every day. The Press has a semi-relevant article about the area, mostly about the house across the street. (From 2011)...

WWII Watch Tower on Old Egg Harbor Road in Mays Landing, NJ

Nice, I forgot about the other side of the road, haha! I must not have been back there much, but I remember some kids made a full BMX course in the sand hills.

WWII Watch Tower on Old Egg Harbor Road in Mays Landing, NJ

This is super interesting. I grew up in Cloverleaf Lakes in the 90s and was often in the woods over there. We called it the "sandy area" or "sand pits", I'm pretty sure it's a gas line right-of-way. I think the two newer developments went up in the early 2000s. I don't recall seeing any ruins...

Old Postcard of Estelleville—Any idea of where this could be?

This was on eBay recently. There's not much to go on, but any idea of where in Estelleville this could be? Also, I love these early 20th century postcard where you had to write your message on the front.

    Estell Empire Exhibit

Yeah, that map was definitely a highlight, it’s huge and the type of material and ink were super interesting. My house is also on the map! I think I saw Spung-Man give a talk about it right after it was found a few years ago.

    Estell Empire Exhibit

I had the pleasure of seeing the great Estell Empire exhibit at the Noyes Museum in Hammonton this past January. Really interesting collection of stuff, and learned a lot about Estell Manor history. I took some photos and I thought I would share them here for those who didn't have a chance to...

    Walker's Forge

Here's a screenshot of the tax map I referenced in my initial post. The area where the forge was is labelled Historical Commission Easement. This map is from 1989 so who knows the status is these days, but it seems like the (State?) Historical Commission was doing some...

    Walker's Forge

Super cool! Could that be a former canal for the forge up by the river?

    Walker's Forge

@Boyd — Thanks Boyd! I believe Monroe Forge is another name for Walker's Forge, but I don't remember the history behind that. I have not seen the Hartman maps, I'll definitely check those out. This is the area I mentioned labelled "Historical Commission Easement"...

    Walker's Forge

Wondering if anyone has been to the Walker's Forge area recently. I live about a mile away, but I've never actually been into the woods over there. I'm fairly certain it's all private property, but I was taking a look at the Estell Manor tax maps and saw that there's something labelled...
