IMHO The bashing shouldn't stop until the problem does. Everyone made it clear that its a few idiots making the rest look bad. I wheel/wheeled in the oine for more than 30 years and I'm not gonna stop pointing out destructive and illegal activities, even if other people don't like it. Why...

So I should go back to 1/4 mile at night unarmed and argue with a bunch of drunken 4wheelers breaking the law. I have seen way to many angry, mad, drunken, stoned, tripping, fighting, bloodied, naked, copulating, passed out, adversarial, nasty, crime committing, staggering, fight starting...

They are recommending that NJDEP buy it Also You can seem to fathom that driving in mud in most areas is driving in and destroying wetlands and its illegal. Whether on public or private property

Compromise? There is no compromise in state and fed laws and the fed wetlands act. Unless you probably go the the supreme court. Some private entity need to buy a sand quarry and deal with the insurance, legal issues and all the other things nobody wants to deal with

someone is going to say that its destroying some type of plants or something reguardless ? You mean point out these illegal 4 wheelers are destroying rare plants. Nonsense, all of these rare plant populations are well documented by the NJDEP/Office of Natural Heritage. As are the endangered...

WMA's are regulated by the Div of Fish and Game, not the Div of Parks. They have separate conservation officers, not park police, who are much more aggressive and successful in policing their properties and blocking their trails. Its a wonder that the Div of Parks does not ask for their help...

IF the land was persevered, the state or the county purchased it or its development rights based on assessed value based on zoning. Your explanation makes little sense Tell me what town and the blocks and lots and who preserved it?

But the town could not handle the problem this would cause with their already stretched thin vol EMS dept. And having insurance still does not mean they would not be sued. This is NJ, laws written by lawyers to benefit lawyers.

Here is the link to the State/Fed laws. These are the laws of the federal wetlands protection act that NJ enforces (not so well at times) There are no specific laws for Wharton, these regs cover the entire state. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/landuse/7-7a.pdf N.J.A.C. 7:7A-2.1(a), 2.2(a) and...

The big problem is that almost all places where people want to mud are wet and by a regulatory definition, are wetlands and are subject to State/Fed wetlands regulations. Especially in the Pinelands.
