i've seen one road north of batsto that has a sign "wilderness area: no motor vehicles".

this is one of my favorite spots in the pines. i always refer to it as "the foundations". it has a great sunset view over the bogs and nearby stream. do you know when they installed that large metal guard rail in front of the largest foundation? i assume they put it there to deter people...

The extreme measures taken by ELF are sad, they are fighting for a good cause but they accomlished nothing by burning down houses. All the houses will be replaced, using more materials from the very earth they are trying to save.
