    Here is mine, slightly out of focus and I believe it was on a long stem with lyre shaped leaves.

    I took the same picture today but they didn't come out. My guess is the seeds of a Dwarf Dandelion. Here is a picture of the base( the spiked leaves with long stems).

    Yes, I guess it was a false alarm. I've looked around in the woods in this area and located over a half dozen Flypoison plants growing. The Sassafras is down the road a little and I spotted it while searching for Listeria australis, but I might be too late.

    They look like Lilacs to me.There is a tree on the Pemberton Bypass across from the B.C.C. baseball fields that is over 30 feet tall and the Lilacs are very striking when the sun shines right.
