    John, When I stopped my truck and started taking pictures they walked into the woods. They are so white they were almost glowing. A friend of mine says they eat from his hand so the next time I see him I'll ask about the eyes.

    Bob, This plant and the Trout Lily are growing in the woods behind the Pemberton R.R. Station.

    Turtle, Google Asa Gray and his quest for Shortia galacifolia. It is a very interestring story. The plants that I photographed were planted by Elizabeth White in her garden at Whitesbog.
