Yes, I remember that John. I wasn't trying to stir this up again, I was just annoyed at how inaccurate the map is.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

"So, basically, all that is available from the USGS is a "cut and paste of older ones". I have a problem with those expounding the hodgepodge 1997 topo as the definitive explanation as to where we can go.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Absolutely! There is a very drivable road over Devious going to Mount past Jemima Mount. The intersection of Mannis Pond Road and Push Line Road, circled in blue, is straight. The road in red does not exist. There seems to be two very different sections to this page, the lower one I have...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Thanks Ben, everyone states it like it is obvious but you are the first to point directly to it. It is interesting that many drivable roads are omitted, Devious - Mount being just one. This topo is not accurate.

    Windows 10

I upgraded this morning and am wrestling to find everything. I did a custom install and disallowed most of the stuff. I am using Edge as my browser but just discovered that the Garmin Communicator does not work in Edge, I must launch Internet Explorer. I'm sure there will be more.

Mannis Duck Pond is turning green

No smell. A duck could have brought it in.

Mannis Duck Pond is turning green

The color is pretty accurate, a light powder green. The camera was on auto and I did not photo shop these pictures. It has the size and consistency of pollen but my first thought was an algae bloom. It's too late for pine and oak pollen, especially of the amount needed to do that. It is mostly...

Mannis Duck Pond is turning green

We were out there this morning, no flow over the dam. On the way. I had quite a time convincing it to move. A small, pointy rattle.

    Penn Branch Mountain Bike Trail

We park in several places more than weekly. These places give good access to the bike trail. Many people park there, from bikers, hunters to hikers. If you weren't allowed to park in the forest that would amount to denial of use. The park police have passed us many times and wave. The dirt...

    Paradise Lake/Camp Jam

Guy, remember Ace Campground was first named Camp Swampy, which is a more appropriate name. It would be fun to hear from someone who stayed there. https://forums.njpinebarrens.com/threads/old-camp.6197/#post-73889

    Paradise Lake/Camp Jam

I first found the abandoned campground in 2003 while paddling the Nescochague and some of us here made 2 more paddles to it. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.656598529303395&lng=-74.67957514923097&z=16&type=terrain&gpx= Unfortunately the links to my pictures are broken...

    Coyote attack Dog in Shamong

They are all over residential areas in Shamong and Tabernacle. We see them in the back yard and are reported on Facebook often. So far they have stayed away from us and our 130 # Great Dane.

    Another small local closes shop

We bought our 2 kayak's there in 2002, at that time a good experience and a vibrant business. A lake was next door where you could try them out. I don't get it.
