Yep, it's on Wharton land. If I recall, it was not far from Evan's Bridge.

Atlantic White Cedars in Muskee Headwaters

Atlantic White Cedars in Muskee Headwaters

While paddling the West Branch of the Wading a few days ago, I noticed a stump of a large cedar tree that was obviously cut down. It would have been by far the biggest cedar along the river. I suspect it was poached. Pisses me off.

It seems that Pierce thought the skit mill was located here: http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.66174222527654&lng=-74.52949047088623&z=17&type=nj1930&gpx= Maybe he based his conclusion on the fact that the site was listed on the 1836 map of Harrisville as belonging to Thomas Ballinger in...

I was able to get back to the site of the skit mill today. There were clearly at least two mill races, and there might have possibly been a third. The mills existed at these two locations: http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.67587250408877&lng=-74.5423436164856&z=17&type=nj1930&gpx=...
