Oct 28 9:45 6th annual PINE BARRENS 4 WHEEL DRIVE CLEANUP

The red one, right? I was going to guess a 3-inch lift from the wheel well gaps, but then I haven't spent a lot of time looking at F350's lately, and I don't remember what stock looked like on the late 90's trucks. One thing I will say, that's back when they looked like trucks. Everyone's in...

Thanks! In return I'll let you put your overflow on my trailer, and I'll drag you off any humps that long wheelbase gets hung up on ;). [Not likely with that lift!]

    Riverview Beach Park

Amazing pictures and drawings, Jerseyman. Thanks for this thread. I remember another thread where someone remarked on the suits and hats worn by some elderly gentlemen on an outing in the pines. I'm just as struck by the suit coats and bowler hats the people standing near the "Shoot the Chutes"...

Hey that is good looking F-350, and you're right, you do get a lot of stuff in that bed :). I'm planning to show up this year, but I may have to pull a trailer to be of any use.

    Burlington County Explorer

There seems to be some dispute about the wall ruin at Washington. I have seen it referred to as a tavern, a stable (Mulliner's), and a "pit silo and barn". That last is attributable to, I believe, Barbara Solem-Stull. The "Mulliner's stable" thing I always had trouble with, as I thought it...

    B & O Express

Yeah, my Dad was the same way. What's more, he's a graduate of GM Institute who worked in suspension engineering for Cadillac in Detroit for years. He now drives a Volvo. The answer to your Dad's question is: because the U.S. vehicles fall apart. My Dad's last caddy was sold after the shift...

    Is it me or.....

I had one for lunch today. I have to admit it does feel as if my body is attempting to process a lump of parafin afterwards. Had to spend 30 minutes on the elliptical before it went away.

I should have sprayed my bag with permethrin!

Ditto, about 4 - 5 days here, and then the bump hangs around a while longer but doesn't itch. Permanone on the clothing and boots seems to keep them off very effectively. Only thing I didn't do last time was spray my socks.

    B & O Express

Thanks for the tip, Jim. I'll be down there this Sat., so hopefully will get a chance to swing by. Here's my Toyota for the gallery :). I understand your love for the F-350, RednekF350. If you can't afford an actual cabover Mac or fit one in your driveway, the F-350 is the next best...

Fast food for me is a rare indulgence, and when I do indulge I prefer McDonalds, even though their burgers have gone downhill in recent years. The best fast-food burgers around, of course, are In-n-Out in California, but unfortunately we don't have 'em around here.

Good stuff, James. I haven't been up Cedar Bridge way yet, but plan to go soon. Where are those red buildings near Friendship? I've been through there and all I saw were the ruins at the crossroads, and the new bridge.

Plane wreckage at Bear Swamp Hill

Welcome aboard, Pete. Great info on that site, and excellent photos. I'm trying to figure out what I'm seeing in the picture of the tower after it was struck. Is that the top part laying off to the right?

    Beta Test the New NJPineBarrens.com

Nice, clean look and feel. Good work guys. Fonts are maybe a wee bit large for my taste, but at least its readable. We must all be old here :).

Right, but are you sure the building is contemporaneous with the rest of the plant? Because I've seen a lot of radomes and that looks like one :). In fact it looks pretty much like what any ASR-9 TRACON radar looks like.

Excellent stuff, James. That round structure sure looks like a Radar dome.

    Question about Direction of Waterflow

I would assume those streams are tidal some way back from the bay itself. Without referring to charts or a coast pilot I can't say for sure. If so then you would be more interested in ebb and flood tides. Otherwise I am sure they empty into the bay as a matter of general flow.
