    Purchase A & B Stone, and a Canal

Good question...... Kayaking seems to be out of the question. It would be cool though to hike the whole canal. The article states that the canal went all the way down to Forge Pond. That is a distance! Ah! I'd like to check that out. From your opening post: Are you talking...

    Purchase A & B Stone, and a Canal

Sorry about the link malfunction. I hope you didn't waste too much time reading something irrelevant. No, I haven't been there, Guy. I'd like to go with you when you go there next. It would be interesting to search for any remains of Richards' dam. There is a lot of information in that...

    The Batsto and Mullica

Are you talking about the pond? Yes, that was created by the damming of the Hammonton Creek in the 1750's (?). In any case, it was the area around the confluence of the Atsion and Hammonton Creeks that I understand to have been called "Nescochague" by the Lenape. I'm not sure I know what...

    The Batsto and Mullica

Good questions, and ones to which we ought to try to find the answer to. From what I understand, Rutgers has led most of the archeological research in this area. Perhaps they have a database online? No doubt. Supposedly, Nescochague was a permanent summer village . I'd like to see...

Bob, when are you taking me out to trek around your woods? So is the creek wide up there because of a beaver dam, or what?

A PBX Hike, The Warren Grove Wildfire 6 Months Later

A good trip it was. Spungs and streams; swamps and savannahs; hills and valleys. We saw the Pines in all of its diversity Saturday. I had rated the trip a 7.5, but in retrospect I think I'd rate it an 8.5. Can I change my vote, Bob? :)

Why? And is there any scientific research to vindicate this? As for ESVs, methinks the sober and down-to-earth explanation is that it is most likely caused by radio interference and cross modulation coupled with pareidolia.

    You destroyed my Sand!

Spot on, Guy. Our pinelands gravel has for thousands of years been subject time and time again to fires as bad as, and worse than, this most recent fire. These people ought be fined as Bob suggested and laughed out of court. "Marcus said the company was surprised that its claim became a...
