They are called prairie mounds, pimple mounds, or mina mounds. Thet are low naturally occurring hillocks, randomly distributed over level terrain. You will find more detail on these mounds on the link below. https://archeology.uark.edu/features/prairie-mounds/

Slight change to its location. The speedway was in the southeast corner what is now the Manahawkin Commons, near the Walmart. The locals called it the Manahawkin Speedway. It was a 1/2 mile dirt oval built in a gravel pit. It opened on 4/23/1950, but closed shortly in 1951.

My take; the hunting club may have been on Oniontown Rd in Medford, just off of Tuckerton Rd up from the intersection with Stokes. At one time, a fifth road came into that intersection (Indian Mills Rd), but was cut off short and curved to the left onto Stokes, just south of the intesection.

I saw something like that just reently along the RR and the parallel road in from Quaker Bridge Road heading toward Hampton.

I fish various spots in the Pines. The only fish to be caught is the pickerel. There are other lakes to try, but I fish only old cranberry bogs. To get to those spots you have to be a little adventurous. It's tough fishing those and the window of time is short because it gets choked with weeds...

At the intersection of Route 532 and Patty Bowker Rd in Tabernacle. I have not been there.

Guy; Yes, that's close enough. At least that was a guess. It's along the left side of Route 72 going about .5 miles from Bulter Place heading back toward 4-Mile Circle. On the right side about .7 miles after Cedar Ave.

Where is this. A nice picnic spot. It fits very nicely in the decor of the Pine Barrens.
