    Nj Covered Bridges

From what I"ve read the purpose of the roof is to prevent decay as long as possible.Much easier to replace the roof then the structure.Makes sense to me. Yes Muck a bridge with just a roof slapped on it does not qualify to me. I also prefer bridges with wooden structure as opposed to steel.

Yes Ben would be right,at least in my mind.I know of know official legitimacy test but many people build little covered bridges to nowhere in their yards and these are all on the site. Many of them can't be gotten too because their on private property and are quite new.To me anyway a legitimate...

Welcome to the new Boyd's Maps Forum!

I think Thats the normal course of things that a 100K topo would have less detail then a 24 K topo since the 100 K covers four times as much area as a 24 K topo does,100 K is 100,000 inches on ground to one on the map while 24,000K is 24,000 inches on ground to one on map.@$ K has much more...

    Savoy Death

When you stand up and start to walk across the floor and it all sounds like a bowl of rice crispies accompanied with moans of pain I"d think that was at least a sign of old age.

I didn't start going out to Moores beach till around 2000 because the people that lived there back before then were not friendly. There were signs as you pulled up to the dunes that said if you don't live here you don't belong here and there was absolutely no place to park or to access the...

I search for lost buildings/cellar holes on Historical aerials but your map makes it much easier to see larger areas at a glance and then check the aerials for confirmation.I use your 1930 aerial frequently ,the 1940';s amd 50';s are clearer but of course the 31 shows buildings that fell down...
