    I have also always heard that ruin to be Washington tavern.It's definitely Washington and it's the largest foundation there so i would presume it's the tavern.

    PS park down at east Creek lake trailhead at the SW corner of the lak where the boat ramp is and you won't have to pay any fee to hike the trail.In summer you have to pay to get into Nummy.

    Technically the hemlock I believe would be native, at least to North Jersey anyway but you'll never find one of those guys in the woods down here unless someones planted it.Now the Norway Spruce are definitely foreign :-) and when I see one of those in the woods I immediately look for a cellar...

    There is a seven mile loop trail in Belleplain state forest that goes from lake Nummy to East Creek lake and back up the other side of savages Run.It's blazed white.You appear to have missed that one.Great map by the way.
