    had a sparrow shortly after the storm land on my truck windshield and flap it's way to the roof.It allowed me to touch it before flying onto the roof racks.I touched it again and it flwe to a branch I couldn't reach it was wed and bedragled looking.I think it had the sense knocked out of it.

    Black bears climb because they have sharper more curved claws and can climb.Griz claws are now as curved and more blunt and designed for digging in hard ground for roots and tubers.Young Griz can climb because their light but a heavy grizz cannot do it because of the blunt claws.Also Black bears...

    All areas are open and you pitch where you want to inside the designated area.I know of no really private sites that cant be seen from the others.I know some very private sites but their not legal.

    I'd say the biggest on in Bear swamp is bigger then that or at least as big.As soon as i can get my foot to quit hurting i intend on going out and measuring it.

    there are some big tulip poplars down here in bear swamp east which is a couple miles down the road from where we went on the plant hike.To get those pics of yours to show you'll have to downsize them.I usually start by cutting the pixels in half and trying that.I either us photoshop or just Paint.

    I think I"d want to do my poking with a stick.They have some rattlers down there that makes ours look like toys and more prevalent as well.

    some nice island camping spots along that creek but the sand doesn't come right down to the water like it does in your photo.The only place if know where that happens and isn't in a well visited spot was where I marked.I was island hopping out there last year but didn't go quite that far...

    No wonder I don't remember posting this.Four years is quite some time to remember what i wrote.And the bear sightings have seemed to dry up since then.saw a bear a mile down the road from my house a couple years ago but I don't hear about them anymore.

    I am usually not bothered by pine pollen till it gets to the point that as you walk through the woods every step produces a small cloud of yellow dust around your feet.This rain should really knock it down for a few days.
