Those southern yellow Pitcher Plants were making it just fine here till the plant police yanked them up.Perhpas flytraps aren't as versatile. It's worth a try anyway.Anything that eats flying insects could only be an asset to the Barrens as far as I'm concerned.

I rode by there last weekend and saw not a bike parked in the front of the bar.I wondered whats up with this.That place is Bikers paradise on summer weekends? I've never been inside but it was always cool to ride by and see the bikes lined up out front.

Geezer If you have ever tried to find survey stones with a gps you'd understand why it would be foolish to try and find them without one.With 14 ft accuracy it is still impossible sometimes.

I know flytraps are native to NC and the winters down there approach ours in terms of low temps but I believe the winters are a bit shorter which of course means the growing season is a bit longer.perhaps this would stop the flytraps from making it here? I had them several times as a kid bought...

cedar water appears red over a white sand or gravel bottom.it appears black over a mud bottom.But I think the red we're seeing here is sunset reflection.I see more salt water then anything.If the Mullica and Wading are in here it is their tidewater portions and that must go for Oyster Creek...

I have always had the sneaky suspicion and now after seeing these pics I believe this confirms it that it is not all about the fish in reality but the places the fish takes you :-)

the ones I speak of were brick red as you say and in burlington as well.the color was darker the more toward the tail you went.

nice red phase pine snake avatar.I happened upon a den of these once in spring when they were exiting.Before that never knew such a color phase existed.
