    What was here?

46er, German, this is not the pig farm off of 72. I think that is what 46er is confusing this area with. They are not far from each other. this is someplace different and most likely not related.

    What was here?

I don't recall it being discussed here before. If you know the thread link please direct me to it. I am not surprised that it became a dump site, but prior to that it was something. I wonder what.

    Another 5AM outing

Great shots, Guy!! the great swamp is like another world. I have this luna moth that keeps flying into my garage at night. Like Al, I've never seen Luna porn though. I also go with Black Rat snake. I caught one in my yard yesterday. Racers never seem to hang around. Jeff

Lets see if I can set that link up better. If you zoom in and move up 72 NW, there is "something else" along the same side of the road a few yards away...

    Name that Ruin

I have no idea. I am unfamilar with the history of the area except that they mentioned there was a lot of activity there in colonial times, which the ruins clearly did not date back to.

    Name that Ruin

Okay, are you ready to play? You don't have to name what the ruin was (but if you could that would be great because I don't know) just where it is located. I came across this recently and I have never heard of it discussed on the forum. Hint: it is in Lacey twp. If no one gets it in a few days...

    Another 5AM outing

Nice report and great photos, Guy. I saw a racoon running ALONG the roadside the other night which is strange behavior. I've seen rabid racoons before and they are down right scary.

Pine Barren Death Camas (zigadenus leimanthoides)

Very interesting. I'll have to resist the urge to eat it if I ever come across it.

    Pirate Ship

An old boat sticking out of the marshes of the Great Bay. My five year old informed me that there is a pirate ghost guarding his treasure beneath it. Jeff
