Little Egg Harbor Rd and Rogers Road

That name 'egg harbor road' is intriguing. Must have been a major road in the early 19th century and earlier. Maybe went through Halfway, Cedar Bridge, and Cedar Grove and then on to Tuckerton area.

Little Egg Harbor Rd and Rogers Road

Okay, got it, thanks. I'll have to think about that. I lived in Presidential Lakes (upper mill) in the 1970's, but I never went by road names.

    Oswego River Seep

Ron and I got into a nice seep where there were quite a few rare plants. It was dangerous though, the sphagnum mats were treacherous. Very deep.

    Ticks & Chiggers--a study

I did that about 8 years ago. The photos are on here somewhere. I wrapped my hat with a blue exercise band and put tanglefoot on it. Worked.

Where did you get the map? Is the map North-up? That can be very confusing (unless you are Boyd).

    Where is this?

A few years ago I entered Mink Path from North Maple Ave. There was a house at the end before it turned to a trail. I went to the powerlines and did some botanizing to the NE, then I did the SE section....and my phone rang. It was the guy from the house, he asked me to get off that section as...

Ron and I went to Buck Run area to gawk at plants, so I went to the way point "first try out". Yes, we could have done it. Deeper but very narrow in places.

    Arethusa in the Rough

And ("and" he says), I found an odd additional plant. At first I thought it may be fireweed, but no. I think it may be pokeweed. Eh?

    Arethusa in the Rough

Oddly, in the middle of this Branch, after the fire this Princess Tree started growing (2 of them). Maybe hitchiked in on someone's vehicle.

    Beaver Deceiver At Webb's Mill

Now this is strange. This morning, I could see the sand above the water from route 539, so I knew things were well-drained. I go back there, and not only is the beaver deceiver removed, but the water level is perfect. Did the beaver get trapped out?
