    Updated Forum Software

Not a DNS issue. It was a typo from when I typed the URL.

    Old Family Photos Removed

You can't prevent the theft of images but you can discourage them. Disabling the right click and having the web server not allow remote hot linking of images will make it harder, but not impossible, for content to move from here to anywhere else. The best you can do is watermark your images...

    Server Issues

Yes. I forgot the DNS entry for "www.njpinebarrens.com" when I was making changes. I just wish someone would have told me about it sooner.

    Server Issues

That's my fault. The www DNS entry should start working shortly. :argh:

    Server Issues

I made changes to the site's DNS servers last night. It may have taken a little while for the changes to propagate out to the internet at large.

Updated Forum Software Coming (Spring/Summer '14)

I know it probably doesn't seem like it, but I am *very* hard at work on the new server & forum upgrade. I'm trying to not come across like an absentee landlord. :)

    Server Issues

The site has been running really slow today. I've traced that back to an issue with a table in the forums database that my anti-spambot system uses. I've fixed that and now it should be running much better.

    The Berlin Wall

Sorry for the delayed response. Details are a bit hazy, but I definitely sampled some local cuisine as well as visited an Australian restaurant twice, having ostrich and kangaroo and several cans of Fosters. Another night a co-worker took me to a nightclub in the former East Germany. The...

    The Berlin Wall

I spent a week in Berlin in 2000. It was an amazing city. I really want to go back at some point.

From what I have read the new Parrot drone will be more like the DJI. The old one (the AR Drone) is much more basic. I *almost* bought a DJI the other day. I just don't want to deal with credit card guilt.

Yes - for sure. I'm just saying, the new Parrot drone is supposed to do it automatically.

Apple is ending development of Aperture

At least in the case of what Ford offers, the voice controls really do help keep you focused on the road. If I want to listen to an album on my iPhone all I have to do is press the button, say "USB play album (whatever)" and it starts. That versus actually scrolling through on the phone like I...

Aerial Video of Forked River Mountain Area

Is this a Parrot AR drone? I think I want to get the next version that they're going to be releasing soon. It corrects for the perspective distortion of the camera.
