That's the cranberry bog pumping station. Used to pump water from the Oswego into the bogs nearby. You can kind of trace the canal back from that structure into the woods.

Isn't that the tavern site over by the campground? There's a clearing on a little hill right at the campground at the bend of the road. That's where the old road to Batsto used to go through.
