    Hammock the Batona

Batsto, north to Quaker Bridge or south to Evans Bridge. Leave your car at Batsto and tell the office. North you can stay at the Mullica River Wilderness camp site.

    Dead Shredded Red

Nature is amazing. In 2 days a deer is skin and bone. Without scavengers and bacteria we would be awash in corpses.

    Where is this?

The approach to the bridge from the west is deeply rutted, wet and undrivable (as of 2013). The east side has a big open, high and dry area where we always picnic. The walk from there to Evans Bridge is very nice with a vernal pond along the way. We start on Bulltown Road and hike to Evans...

I don't know because of the gate up by Carranza that would be a 1.1 mile hike one way in this heat. The road is not washed out.

Vehicles and people have been using them for decades, and it continues. Why shouldn't they use them and enjoy their forest and streams. It's hiking, fishing and paddling access.

    Road Closure

Last September I took these pictures of a lot of stakes while walking in from Tuckerton Road. I had made a video at that time but it was censured by YouTube. I was not told why but some one complained, you guess and he subscribes to my channel. Does anyone know of another site which hosts video...

A road has been posted here, off of Hampton Road (Glossy Spung) going up to the breached causeway at the skit. At the end of this road is a parking area which people use to fish, picnic and paddle. I use it and so do many others. It is a nice short paddle from Carranza road. Nothing up that road...

    New Friendship Gate

A road into this area is posted at Carranza Road. This is a long road that gets you to the "sensitive" area however you are not allowed to drive it to get closer. This area is actively hunted and walked by many yet NO consideration was given to them. There are bridges way in the back to get...

    The end of Garmin Basecamp

My Oregon 450 has died, on/off button doesn't work. What do I do now? I have relied on Basecamp for creating routs and archive my trips. I hike and travel in the car. I have OnStar and they consintly give really stupid directions. The 450 was small and easy to use, I will miss it.
