    Closing West Mill Road

I was not thinking of state registration. I think Miller means to register by just listing who you are, your license number, etc. Yes, I knew you knew it was not our pines in the photo, I was just making a general comment for all.

    Closing West Mill Road

Joe, I think that would be a reasonable, standard process for any event, private or public. By the way, that photo on his facebook page is obviously not the pine barrens.

    Closing West Mill Road

Due to 'whether' or not the state has an issue with it?

    Paving Savoy Blvd (Pasadena Road)

Hopefully they realized it needs to be wider at the east side of 72 outlet. If a vehicle is at the stop sign, and a sand truck is turning onto Pasadena, it's tight and dangerous.

    Paving Savoy Blvd (Pasadena Road)

PS: coming east from Chatsworth, I always creep across to take one final look to see if I may have missed any westbound traffic behind the concrete support.

    Paving Savoy Blvd (Pasadena Road)

I just shut my eyes and floor it at the top of the hill. Have not had any trouble yet.

    Warren Grove Fire Area Revisited

It was more the location of the engine. It caused steering problems when cornering or trying to correct a fishtail or swerve.

    Warren Grove Fire Area Revisited

I doubt it was a corvair. It seems way too old. This thing was built when men were iron and ships were wood.

    Warren Grove Fire Area Revisited

PS; this is an odd year. Not including this one, I was at the same exact place, at the same date, at least 3 other times this year, and it was not planned that way.

    Warren Grove Fire Area Revisited

You are the MAN on the stand Guy! Reminds me of an army signal corps tower for signaling with flags. Those cedars were thicker than fleas on a dogs back. But really, I wonder why they weren't taller after 11 years.

    RAIN?

I spoke to a botanist friend about this who has much more experience than I do. He noticed the same thing. His theory is too little light and too much water. The too little light comes from the amount of overcast days.

Article: Please Stop Tagging the Locations of Your Outdoor Photographs

I agree with not giving exact locations for sensitive areas. However, if it is a common destination like a mountain many people climb, or a lake everyone fishes, or a trail everyone uses...etc, then it's okay.

    Then & Now Photos

Looks like the mix was made in a bucket on the spot, using a shovel and water from a puddle. :p

Hampton Park featured in this November, 1946 issue of "Cranberries" The National Cranberry Magazing

Interesting article on Hampton Park. I wonder if they controlled all bogs in this photo, though this photo precedes the article by 14 years.

    Wescoat almost wins

I had a canon power shot and an old flip phone that got wet. I put them in the oven at 200 degrees for a few minutes, and it worked. I just got lucky nothing was damaged by the heat I suppose.
