    Penn State Forest Hike

As for resizing, I never have to. I use the Microsoft snipping tool. Snip the original photo and save it as a *.png file. You can post that just like a photo, and it is usually less than 900 x 900 pixels. Any quality loss is not noticed at all. And, using snip, you can write or circle or...

    Music for the day

Can you believe what these kids in this audience were thinking? I'd love to ask them what they thought about what they saw two days later. I'd say..."I saw the future of rock 'n' roll".

Is this illegal or illegal dumping?

Well Skut, thanks for your answers. My response is that we can't stop people from doing things most of us would not do if there is no enforcement available. And, as noted on other threads on this forum, even if there is enforcement, there is often no will.

Nature Trail in the Works on LBI Foundation Grounds

    Roadside Vernal Pool Scavenger Hunt

Thank you Mark, for that very cogent answer. I can certainly see it. I'm going to take a topographic map some day and trace where that cuesta ridge should be based upon the existing watersheds. It will probably be close to what it was then.

The earth is a living, breathing being

That is really cool Guy. Do you remember the red cedar growing in my backyard next to the house? It was right against the gutter. in the gusts following Sandy, the ground was really saturated and that tree was being blown about 10 feet to one side at the top. The ground was being lifted up by...

The Woods of Minespung .... A PBX Hike

Manassas. I remember. I've always liked Mr. Stills. Great harmonies to go along with that delicious twang of his guitar.

What is this hole in the ground?

I too think it's a blind. See this bit of camo netting in the posted photo. One can buy this at hunter supply stores.
