    The "New Freedom Line."

When I read it, all I kept thinking of is how well that document describes the wonderful treasures we have in the pines. Anybody that would construct that line after reading it has no heart at all.

    High Crossing never disappoints

You could probably mold some nice earthware from that mud.

    The "New Freedom Line."

I found other documents showing the Federal Energy Regulatory Commision presided over proceedings where JCP&L was under fire from 5 other utilities for not completing an agreement they had regarding the power and lines from Forked River. Pretty technical reading, but the upshot of it is that a...

    The "New Freedom Line."

He was probably correct, since anything we know about is only dear to us, and not some beauracrat. It would have to be registered for that. Hangar 1 at Lakehurst is a National Historic Site. They won't let that be harmed.

    The "New Freedom Line."

Guy, the New Freedom line was going to be for Oyster Creek (the second plant--Forked River Plant). The plan is dated 1973. Good thing somebody stopped it. http://pbadupws.nrc.gov/docs/ML0722/ML072200181.pdf New Freedom is a place name in Camden County where they were putting in a big...

    The "New Freedom Line."

Very interesting Guy. Thank God somebody put the brakes on that project. I always wondered what that odd kind of extra parallel clearing was that ran along Jones Road. I've even walked stretches of it just wondering what it was. I think you are saying that is either the Greenwood line, or the...

Sensitive land in Medford and Shamong

Guy, I honestly had forgotten about what you showed me. It's just a coincidence that I said what I did! We'll wait to see what you dig up on that subject.

Sensitive land in Medford and Shamong

Hmm....now that I think about it, they might have put new lines in when expanding the Parkway. I was only concerned they had a deal to run a line right through Red Oak Grove, then Aserdaten, then the Forked River Mountains!

Sensitive land in Medford and Shamong

Just a reference to a pilot mowing program? It says on the page after your reference that ..."In 2004, the Commission authorized the development of a new electric transmission line on the eastern fringe of the Pinelands Area through an intergovernmental agreement with the Board of Public...

Sensitive land in Medford and Shamong

I don't like this part: The fund is part of an agreement with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to construct and upgrade an electric power line through eastern portions of the Pinelands. Say what?

    Blue Acres program

Hmmmm. I suppose it might be time to suggest that state and federal help for barrier islands be discontinued. In fact, tear down the dunes and let the homeowners fend for themselves. No Federal flood program will be allowed....and as homes become damaged to a point, say...51% of the value or...

Joey gets stuck at High Crossing

I agree with you Guy. Being called an idiot on top if his misfortune is salt on top of the wound. I've done worse in the pines. Joey, if you are reading this, you live and learn, right? I hope at least you were with a girl and it was fun up to that point!

    The Death of Twinkies?

I doubt this is the outcome they wanted Boyd. It's not like the Judge is saying "give the Unions what they want or else".
