Bobpbx says "Someone Snatched The Nash"

Here's something Scott and I found, but we can't figure out what it is. He said something about a fire extinguisher, but wasn't sure.

Bobpbx says "Someone Snatched The Nash"

These boys ain't going nowhere. Guy took over the driving after Scott had 7 too many. Guy did complain bitterly about the size of the steering wheel, but they made it home alright.

Bobpbx says "Someone Snatched The Nash"

That car we found must have been prior to the 60's....easily. You can see the grooved metal they often inserted in the dash in those days. Its the piece bent up a bit.

Bobpbx says "Someone Snatched The Nash"

Nice shot of the crowberry Guy. I'm sorry I took advantage of you when you said you needed some privacy.

    Signs of the Pines

Nice to meet you today. I apologize for not believing you when you said we were standing in Bass River State Forest "North". I still maintain though....that is a strange name for a section of State Forest absolutely nowhere near the Bass River. As to the 218 foot hill, I like to think your...

    Out of Sight

If they try to put it out there they'll run into a brick wall with the pinelands commission, and rightfully so. It is in the Preservation District. http://www.state.nj.us/pinelands/landuse/gis/maps/LandCap_0308.pdf

    Out of Sight

Ocean County is apparantly planning to put a garbage transfer station at the intersection of route 539 and the Parkway. One Little Egg Harbor resident wrote to the Beacon Newspaper in an agitated state of mind about this, and suggest a better location would be 3-4 miles out into the Pinelands...

Well, I have sent Jim a PM, posted here, and sent him an email. Jim, if you don't contact me by Saturday at 6PM, I'll move down the post to the next person.

    Smithville---High Bicycle Town

Jim, I had no idea there was so much there! Good report. I went to High School in Pemberton (I know, it explains so much), so I should know better.

Damn Bill, that 5th one from the bottom is a keeper. Then again, so is the 5th from the top. Jolly good show!

    Clearings slightly south of nowhere

I don't really know. It could have subtle changes from that stone hill. Suppose the system of clearings you went to was once a sandbar in the middle of an ancient river system, and that that this sandbar was a natural trap for very coarse sand grains that were somehow formed by the action of the...

    Clearings slightly south of nowhere

I don't know, but I'll bet your guess has some merit as a contributor to this. The Pine Plains are a prime example of that factor.

    Clearings slightly south of nowhere

Mark, I'm thinking a belgian ale would taste great, but I can't seem to tell from your statement what I have to do to get it! :) Uh oh, a riddle? I am not good at riddles, but please give some more clues! I"m game.

    Clearings slightly south of nowhere

That is really interesting, right Jeff? I love those clearings. I think I know why they are there, or at least what contributes to them. As a geology professor explained to me, the pine barren higher uplands are the result of the land all around them "weathering" away over time. The higher lands...

    Ghost in Sweetwater

I am getting to that point in life where I would just pretend to be amazed and AGREE with them. It makes life more interesting, and life is fleeting anyway. Enjoy these little things while we can. The world hates a critic anyway.

    A spring day in February....

Very cool 46'r. There is an area across the road on the East side of 539 that I found a newer truck cab. Its in a pretty wild area. Infrequently traveled.

Ice Age relicts at Ground Zero

Mark, I wish I were a fly on the wall for that one. Why can't they open this to the public, or if not that, then at least tape if for later viewing--something similar to what CSPAN does. I am a junkie of CSPAN.
