    Pushing and Searching

They kept saying, if it's off the tax rolls, then we wouldn't know. So then, right in front of me as I'm standing there...They called the GREEN ACRES program and asked them if it belongs to them! They said no. I kid you not! If I found out as Mayor, I'd tell them to find out out who the hell...

    Pushing and Searching

I am a HUGE proponent of the public knowing who owns what and where. I wanted to know who owned a 600 acre plot in Bass River Township, and the tax office did not even know! And, they were rude to me, and this was after 2 visits to the tax office and 3 phone calls. And, they pushed me off onto...

I gambled giving Buddy his freedom, and he enjoyed it. He lived 15 years. I know, it was a risk, but we had some great times together, and he was so fit. He would chase deer for a couple miles.

Thanks Scott, and Boyd, for those tips. I do use a utility, this one. By tedious I meant plugging them in and then creating an excel file to submit. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/njgs/geodata/dgs03-1.htm

Thank you for that last post regarding the NGS website. If I report plant location coordinates to the state, I also have to include state plane coordinates. It is tedious, but they want them. PS: I no longer remember much German. All I had to do was plug in what I wanted to say to you in...

    Pushing and Searching

Thanks for that information Scott. I appreciate it, very interesting. I have one more question: Once you occupy those disk points, I assume you oftentimes use them to determine where the needed benchmarks or property lines are. I assume you then often find the original bench mark or line you...

I assume you mean they are pulling data from a satellite to pinpoint the disk location so that it has trustworthy coordinates? How sensitive is the GPS gear that they use (tolerance)?

Scott, what do you mean by this statement...."I end up hiring an outside firm to burn us a few GPS points when I need them and I am off to the races."

That's interesting Heywood. I could not have imagined a furnace earlier than 1700.

Heywood, you can use cut and paste. Cut directly from your writings and paste directly in the post, and then add spaces while inside the post.

I used to like Jeopardy back int he 80's (?). I was fair at it until they started asking way too many questions about entertainers and movies. I am bad about that stuff as I have little interest in the lives of entertainers.

Heywood, did you author that piece? I assume you are a writer, and perhaps are published in newspaper & magazines or some such?

    Fire in Pines?

I don't see why you should not post it here Heywood. This section is for general discussion topics. You can also start a new thread in this section to discuss it. Up to you.

    2017-18 Winter weather

Bamber roads are sheets of black ice. Worst I've ever seen. I wondered why I heard no cars go by. Even the lighter colors in the photos are clear ice.
