Southside Johnny moved back to the shore area and enjoys it because.."now, nobody bothers me. I'm just an old bozo. They leave me alone, which I like".

It's very interesting to me that the landed gentry at one time considered the pines a restful respite-even healthful. Look at Lakewood in its early days-with its history of celebrities and the many dignitaries who vacationed there from NY. Then, they all got uppity and saw manicured lawns and...
Long live the King!
Interesting stuff Guy. If you find anything about the 1963 fire and the one in 1995(?) around my area it would be interesting to read to compare them. The one in 1936 was very late in the season for such a fire.
I am always a little behind, but when I latch onto someone I like, I hold on tight, even if the music was developed many years ago. Right now, its World Party, Widespread Panic, Leanord Cohen, and some not so old Steely Dan and Van Morrison.
I selected an 80's music station to listen to for awhile. I don't want to offend any of you young guys who lived through that era of music, but God was it awful. Worse than I remembered it. Beastie Boys, Devo, Pat Benatar.
Yech!
Thanks for all your help Guy. Next time you come by, I'll show you what I mean by clunky. Its not the FTP client, I think its me expecting too much.
And thanks all for the fine comments about the photos. I do like this new Canon camera. The davenport lake gets sun at this time of year...
Scott, have you ever seen the briars like those we saw at Howardsville? The arms (pointed tips) were right next to each other and all around the stem. I have seen them before, but it had been a while that I had seen them. They were deadly.
Here are a few from Wednesday(?).
Guy, I am still a little baffled by how hard it is to use an FTP client, and even looking on my website it seems clunky. Why is it not user friendly? Comcast does not seem to encourage using a home page. Thanks anyway, at least it is working for now. But for...
Guy, check the tags.
My belt tab says...Wrangler, Rugged Wear. There is the letter "W" stitched into the back pockets.
The tab inside says 100% cotton and 100% nylon; Made in Mexico with US made fabric.

Merry Christmas to you Scott, and your family. And to all others on the board (lurkers too); Merry Christmas.
My New Years wish is that we all go back to simpler times when there were not 400 people murdered in Philly in one year. The poor guy who was murdered last nite over pizza money was...
That is not right Guy. Mine have lasted through 20 PBX trips as well as what I do on my own, and they are the same brand. It has to be that they either changed their process or lowered their standards.
A NJ article on Coyote Management:
http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/2006/dighnt19-24.pdf
After reading the article is dawned on me that I had seen a blonde coyote on Lacey Road near the Forked River Mountains. It was about 5 or 6 years ago. I was driving and he was loping along the road...
Yes, a friend of mine, Barry (you may know him) loaned it to me. It is uniquely Pine Barren and was actually fun and easy to read. Especially since I get excited about finding rare plants in the pines. Here is a link...
