If they are so hard to spot SWWIT, how does the Warden know what their population is? Do they have a coyote "field gage"?

I have seen them before and find them very interesting. I was wondering how they would "feel" hiking long distances. What is "tin" cloth?

    PBX Trip to Howardsville

Howardsville is just South of Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area in Ocean County, just North of route 72. Howardsville cranberry bogs are very old, having been created in 1872. There are 9-11 bogs in a row, depending upon who's counting. The Pine Barren Explorer's took a 5 mile trip in...

A few thoughts on the weather

They are all against us. Ever notice lately that everyone is in your pocket, and its hard to fight it? My former spouse left the house in February, and both kids are away at college. I paid more for this Novembers electric bill then I did last year when all four of us were in the house. And they...

    The End of an Era

If I were him, I'd would go sit in the sun at one of his bogs that he sold to the NJ Conservation Foundation. I'm dead serious. Get a nice lady and a picnic lunch, a bottle of vino, a blanket. Viola!

    Oh, our economy is crushed!

I have worked at the base since 1973 and remember the two lane road well. Remember the Rustic Acres Bar? I used to turn right there to go home. The road was dirt after a bit as it wound towards route 530.

    Howardsville Stones

Good one Scott! Reminds me; my son and his buddies had a garage band this summer. Woodjin (Jeff) stopped by and we poked our heads into the garage while they were practicing. Nick gave Jeff the guitar and Jeff played some licks from a Metallica song. He was flawless, and perfect! The kids...
